Patna, May 1: In the second match of the Straight Drive Women’s Cricket Tournament at the local Cricket Academy of Bihar (CAB) ground, Team Godavari defeated Team Narmada by five wickets, thanks to the all-round performance of Dolly (42 runs and two wickets). Team Narmada captain Swarnima Chakraborty played a brilliant inning of 49 runs but it went in vain. Dolly was awarded the Player of the Match award.
Team Narmada won the toss and decided to bat first. Batting first, Team Narmada scored 123 runs for 9 wickets in 22 overs with the help of Swarnima Chakraborty’s 49 runs. Swarnima scored 49 runs in 47 balls with the help of 7 fours and 1 six. Apart from this, Deepa scored 5 runs, Suhani scored 5 runs, Andrey Rani scored 6 runs, Aanchal scored 9 runs, Soumya Akhouri scored 5 runs.
For Team Godavari, Shilpi took 1 wicket, Divya took 2 wickets, Nisha took 1 wicket, Rishu took 3 wickets, Dolly took 2 wickets.
In reply, Team Godavari won the match by scoring 124 runs for 5 wickets in 18.4 overs. On behalf of Team Godavari, Dolly scored 42 runs in 24 balls with the help of 8 fours and 1 six, Saloni scored 20 runs, Shreya Ramesh scored 4, Soni scored 4 and Shobhana Saket scored an unbeaten 23 runs.
