Patna: Straight Drive PVL Veterans Challengers Cup cricket tournament will be held from March 19 to 22 at Urja Stadium in Patna under the aegis of Nishu Enterprises. Giving this information, organising secretary Mohan Kumar Sinha said that four teams will participate in the tournament.
All the matches of the tournament will be played day and night. The first match will be played from 2 pm while the second match will be played from 6:00 pm. A total of seven matches will be played in the tournament. All matches will be played of 20-20 overs. Trophies will be given to the winner and runner-up team. Other award like Man of the Match will be given after every match.
All the participants players will be given a memento. Sinha said that Rupak Kumar will be the media convener. Jerseys of the teams were also unveiled at the press conference. On the eve of the tournament, a gala get-together has been organised by Straight Drive with all the veteran players of Patna at Hotel Gargi Grand from 6 pm.
The final of the tournament will be played on March 22 on the occasion of Bihar Day. At the press conference, Straight Drive vice president Prem Khanna, Uttam Talapatra, Straight Drive CEO Anupam Das, senior cricket coach Adhikari MM Prasad, captains of all the four teams, Sanjay Tiwari of Yellow, Sunil Singh of Blue, DN Das of Red and Kanhaiya Kumar Sinha of Green were present.
