Patna, June 22: Hundred 2nd Bihar State Senior Ranking Badminton Tournament will be formally inaugurated on June 23 in Khagaria. District Badminton Association, Khagaria, secretary Dr H Prasad said however, the qualifying round matches of the tournament began on Saturday.
He said Vivek Sugandh, sub divisional public grievance office associate at district sports office, Khagaraia will be the chief guest at the opening function. Bihar Badminton Association secretary KN Jaiswal will be the guest of honour.
All the leading players of the state are participating in the tournament, he said.
The tournament is being sponsored by Hundred, an subsidiary unit of badminton equipment manufacturer Li Ning.
