Stage set for 33rd National Sub Junior Girls Kabaddi Championship

Patna: All the preparations for the 33rd National Sub Junior Girls Kabaddi Championship to be held at the Indoor Hall of Patliputra Sports Complex, Patna, from March 31 under the banner of the Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India, hosted by the Bihar State Kabaddi Association, have been completed, said Bihar State Kabaddi Association Secretary Kumar Vijay Singh in a press conference on Saturday.

On this occasion, other trophies, including those of the winners, runners-up and third placed teams, were jointly unveiled by Bihar State Kabaddi Association Secretary Kumar Vijay Singh, Jaishankar Chaudhary, International Referee Rana Ranjit Singh and Pro Kabaddi Referee Arun Kumar.

Vijay Singh said that the competition will be inaugurated by the President of the Bihar State Kabaddi Association and Director General of the Bihar Museum, Anjani Kumar Singh. On this occasion, Patna District Magistrate Shirat Kapil Ashok and Sports Department Director Mahendra Kumar will be present as special guests.

Indian women’s Kabaddi coach Arjun Awardee V. Tejaswini Bai will be present as the guest of honour on the occasion of the inauguration ceremony of this four-day championship. Apart from this, there will be a dignified presence of the Pro Kabaddi team’s franchise team, Patna Pirates, captain Sachin Tanvar and team member Sandeep Kumar of Bihar.

Apart from the state unit teams, SAI teams will also participate in this championship. With the participation of SAI team, the match will be very exciting, and there will be a lot of competition for the title.

We have constructed two courts inside the indoor hall specifically for this championship. The court of Kabaddi Academy, located on the campus, is also ready for practice.

Arrangements for accommodation and food for the players of the teams participating in this championship will be made inside the sports complex. Technical officials and state association representatives will be accommodated in hotels in the capital.

Delhi’s international Kabaddi referee Ajit Kumar will be the chief referee for the successful conduct of this championship. Apart from this, Anand Shankar Tiwari, Chairman of the Referee Board of Bihar State Kabaddi Association and International Kabaddi Referee Rana Ranjit Singh will be present as assistants.

The Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India and Bihar State Kabaddi Association have deputed a total of 40 technical officials, including referees from Bihar, for the successful conduct of the matches. The deputations of referees have been made by the Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India and the Bihar State Kabaddi Association.

The matches of this championship will be telecast on many YouTube channels and social media platforms, including the channel of the Bihar State Kabaddi Association.
