Patna: Bihar Football Association Secretary, Syed Imtiaz Hussain, on Friday announced the Bihar senior women’s football team for the 28th Senior Women’s National Football Championship. The team was selected after a 20-day training camp held days in Keshavpur Doli, Muzaffarpur.
Hussain said that Sonia Kumari of Patna will lead the team.
Team: Khushi Kumari, Nibha Kumari, Aarti Kumari, Sonia Kumari, Surbhi Kumari, Shyama Rani, Neha Kumari, Sabar Khatoon, Pooja Kumari, Neha Kumari, Soni Kumari, Sanjana Kumari, Manisha Kumari, Kajal Kumari, Ranju Kumari, Khushboo Kumari, Preeti Kumari, Nazia Khatoon, Soni Kumari, Monica Kumari and Ganga Kumari
Shafiq Ahmed has been appointed as head coach. Ravindra Yadav will be assistant coach while Ansh will be the team manager. Dr Lakshmi Kumari has been named physio while Asghar Hussain will be team in-charge.
Hussain further said that in the 28th Senior Women’s National Football Competition, Bihar is placed in Group F along with Indian Railways, Maharashtra, Andaman Nicobar and Himachal. The tournament will begin on November 21 in Una, Himachal Pradesh. Bihar will play its first match against Himachal Pradesh November 21.
