Patna: The 45th Senior National Softball Championship will be held in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, from November 4 to 8. The General Secretary of the Softball Association of Bihar, Prachi Sharma, said that 97 men and 57 women players from Bihar participated in the trials for this championship. The trials are being organized on October 1 and October 2 at the Patliputra Sports Complex, Kankarbagh, Patna. The Bihar probables for the camp will be selected based on the performance of the players in trials. The teams will be announced after the camp.
Softball Association of Bihar President Gautam Kanodia said that after the trials, 22 players each will be selected for the men’s and women’s teams. After this, a camp will be organized for the selected players. The camp will also be organized at the Patliputra Sports Complex. The teams will be announced after the camp.
In today’s proceedings, Director of Bihar State Art Culture Youth Department Sanjay Kumar, Patron of the Softball Association of Bihar Ajay Narayan Sharma, and former Secretary Madhu Sharma were present.
