New Delhi, July 24: Bihar industries minister Syed Shahnawaz Hussain held a meeting with selected industrialists of textile, leather, plastic and other sectors in Delhi and appealed to them to set up industries in Bihar.
After the launch of Bihar Textile and Leather Policy 2022 and also in other sectors of the industry, the Bihar industries minister Syed Shahnawaz Hussain, who is constantly campaign across India to bring investors and big companies to Bihar, gave a presentation on the prospects of the industry in Bihar and appealed to investors to make Bihar a manufacturing hub to get a good hold in the big market of Northeast India.
Directors of companies from textile, leather, agriculture, plastics, manufacturing and other sectors participated in this meeting. Prominent names who attended the meeting were Sunil Bansal, executive director, Liberty Group, Rakesh Grover, MD, Grover Sons Apparel, Sunil Goel, MD, ARB Bearings, Inder Dev Gupta, MD, Kumar Mangalam Birla Group, Ajay Kumar Bansal, director, Hitech Pipes, Micromax Chairman Rajesh Agarwal, KR Pulp Paper Mill MD Madhav Gopal Agarwal, Athija Herbs MD Sahil Khan, Sadhna Group MD Rakesh Gupta, Bubna Advertising MD Sushil Bubna and others.
Hussain told the industrialists that there was always a possibility of Bihar becoming the manufacturing hub of Northeast India, but now the conditions are favorable for a big leap in the industry sector. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, due to the immense development of infrastructure for roads, electricity, good governance and industry, now the ground is completely ready for the rapid expansion of industry in Bihar.
The principal secretary of industries department, Sandeep Pondrik was also present in the meeting. Hussain told all the industrialists that whenever you feel the need to invest in Bihar, just give me one call, I myself and Sandeep Pondrik will be ready for all possible help.
The minister said that we have developed a very attractive textile and leather policy. We have the best industrial policy for setting up industries in other sectors as well. He said that just a week ago, out of 74 industrial areas present in entire Bihar, the historic decision to reduce the cost of industrial land by 20 to 80 per cent in 54 industrial areas was taken in the cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. We have land bank of about 2900 acres available for the industry, he added.
