Rest of Patliputra beat Katihar in BCA Super League

Patna: Rest of Patliputra team led by Rishabh Rakesh defeated Katihar by 17 runs at Birpur in Supaul, while the Gaya scored 260 runs at the Moinul Haq Stadium in Patna to take lead of 88 runs over Darbhanga in the first innings. Rest of Seemanchal declared their first innings scoring 423 runs for nine wickets on the second day at Purnia’s Green Valley ground, in reply the Rest of Western Zone scored 310 runs for 6.

Supaul: Rest of Patliputra, playing ahead of yesterday’s score of 67 runs, were all out for 149 runs. With 6 runs lead in the first innings lead, Rest of Patliputra gave a target of 155 runs to the Katihar. Santosh Kumar contributed 35 runs, Aditya 27 runs, Abhishek 23 runs and Prakash 17 runs from Rest of Patliputra.

In the second innings Katihar were all out for 137 runs. Peter took 6 wickets, Khalid took 2 wickets and Ajay took 1 wicket. Rest of Patliputra won the match by 17 runs. For Katihar, Suraj scored 30 runs, Mayank contributed 37 runs. For Rest of Patliputra, Anup took 4 wickets, Aditya Anand took 5 wickets and Prashant took 1 wicket. Anup of Rest of Patliputra team was declared man of the match for his brilliant bowling in both the innings.

On the second day of the BCA Senior District Super League match being played between Gaya and Darbhanga at Moinul Haq Stadium in Patna, the Gaya were all out for 260 runs thanks to a century by Ranjan Raj. Gaya got a lead of 88 runs in the first innings over Darbhanga. For Gaya Ranjan Raj scored 101 runs and Saifullah made 49 runs. Navneet Jha took 5 wickets, Mayank Kumar 4 wickets for Darbhanga.

At the end of the second day’s play, Darbhanga scored 119 runs for two in their second innings. Ayush Loharika scored 33 runs for Darbhanga, while Tripurari Keshav remained unbeaten on 73 runs.

Purnia: Shraman Nigrodh’s century and Aaqib Raza’s 96 led to declaration of Seemanchal innings at 423 for nine on the second against Western Zone in the BCA Senior Inter District Super League at Green Valley Ground, Gulab Bagh.

Apart from Shraman Nigrodh and Jayalal Murmu, no other player contributed from Rest of Seemanchal. Aqib Raza was dismissed for 96, Shraman Nigrodh made 129 and Jaylal Murmu scored 42. For Rest of Western Zone, Shubham and Prashant took 3 wickets each.

At the end of the second day’s play, thanks to Sachin’s unbeaten century, the Rest of Western Zone team scored 310 runs for 6 wickets.
