Goa: Punjab FC (PFC) will look to bounce back after their loss in the debut match in the Indian Super League, when they face FC Goa in the second round match which will be played tomorrow at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Fatorda. The match is scheduled to kick off at 8 p.m. PFC lost their debut match against Mohun Bagan Super Giants in Kolkata.

Punjab FC gave a good fight in their debut match against the defending champions. Luka Majcen scored the club’s first-ever goal in the ISL. They will be taking the field, high on confidence against FC Goa, whose first match against Hyderabad FC was postponed.

Speaking ahead of the game, PFC Head Coach Staikos Vergetis said, “Goa is a team with a lot of balance and they have the appropriate players for each position. The players know their role and they play good football in all four phases of the game. In tomorrow’s game, I think the team who scores the first goal will have the opportunity to manage the game better.”

RGPFC defender Nikhil Prabhu during the pre–match press conference said, “It will be a special day for me as I’ll be celebrating my birthday playing against my former team. I have to prove myself with my current team and I want to contribute my best for the team and in the meantime, grow individually.”
