Patna, June 4: On the strength of Player of the Match Piyush Kumar’s (58 runs, 50 balls, 9 fours) half-century and bowlers, Patna continued its winning campaign in Shyamal Sinha Inter District Under-16 Cricket Tournament and defeated Vaishali by 4 wickets.
Vaishali won the toss and decided to bat first. The start was bad. Three wickets fell for 22 runs. In the very first over, Prince Dubey gave a double blow to Vaishali. First, he sent opener Prem to the pavilion for 4 runs and then on the next ball, he sent Jayant Raj back to the pavilion without opening his account.
