Srinagar/ Roorkee/Dehradun: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, on Sunday, said that people will reject those who refuted the existence of Lord Ram, criticizing the Congress and the opposition parties for distancing from the celebrations of the spectacular consecration ceremony of Lord Shri Ram in Ayodhya in the name of secularism.
CM Yogi held Vijay Sankalp rallies in Srinagar, Roorkee and Dehradun seeking votes for BJP candidates from Garhwal, Haridwar and Tehri Garhwal seats, namely Anil Baluni, Trivendra Singh Rawat and Mala Rajlakshmi Shah respectively, including his home district Pauri Garhwal.
People greeted CM Yogi with deafening slogans of ‘Bulldozer Baba ki Jai’ in every rally that he addressed.
In all three rallies held in Uttarakhand, CM Yogi addressed various issues, such as faith, development, terrorism, and Naxalism, specifically targeting the Congress party. He juxtaposed the progress achieved under the Modi government’s inclusive development approach over the past decade, which emphasizes both respect for faith and the eradication of terrorism and Naxalism.
Yogi underscored that Prime Minister Modi currently wields firm leadership over the nation, resulting in enhanced global regard for India. He further asserted that the infrastructure advancements and welfare initiatives implemented by the Modi government are unparalleled and incomparable.
Addressing a rally in Pauri Garhwal, which is also Yogi’s birthplace, he tried to connect emotionally with people and sought overwhelming support for BJP candidate Anil Baluni. In a blistering attack on the Congress at the Vijay Sankalp rally held at NIT Srinagar in Garhwal Lok Sabha constituency, the CM described the members of the party as impersonators, who first refuted existence of Lord Ram and then, following the construction of Lord Ram’s temple was built in Ayodhya after a long wait for 500 years, started saying that Ram belonged to everyone.
“Congress used to say that Muslims have the first right on the country’s resources, then why was partition done in 1947 in the first place? Why did no one ask this question to the Congressmen?, he quipped. He also said that those who think that criminals can run away from UP to find shelter in Uttarakhand are grossly mistaken, as “I assure that I will not leave the mafia and criminals capable of crossing the border of Uttar Pradesh.”
While addressing the Vijay Sankalp Rally for Haridwar Lok Sabha seat in Roorkee, Yogi Adityanath said that today the country, far from being helpless, is secure in strong hands. He said that this election is a fight between those opting nation over family and vice versa. “Today, the nation collectively voices its intent to reinstate those who revere Ram and to rebuff the Congress, which has been perceived to deny the existence of Shri Ram”, he stated.
Commending the commitment and contributions of former Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat throughout his political journey, Yogi Adityanath emphasized the significance of BJP’s victory in Haridwar as a momentous occasion. He assured the public that Haridwar would witness significant development akin to Ayodhya over the next five years. Additionally, during the rally, he paid homage to the revered birth anniversary of the architect of the Constitution, Bharat Ratna Baba Saheb Bhim Rao Ambedkar.
Pointing out that BJP’s manifesto outlines India’s journey to becoming self-reliant, the foundation for becoming a developed country, CM Yogi said that under PM Modi’s leadership the country has witnessed unparalleled growth in terms of infrastructure and delivery of welfare schemes to the underprivileged. He added that in the next five years, houses will be given to three crore poor people in the country.
In Tehri Garhwal, Yogi Adityanath said that the members of Congress Party ran away from attending the consecration ceremony in Ayodhya despite claiming that Lord Ram belongs to everyone in the name of secularism.
He added: “In Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, there is a unified chorus: we will restore the glory of Ram. The name of Ram stands as the ultimate remedy for all afflictions. When Congress lacked faith in Ram, they became irrelevant. The populace asserts their allegiance to those who genuinely uphold Ram’s legacy. Modi ji is synonymous with the resurgence of Ram.”
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath sought votes for Tehri Garhwal MP and BJP candidate Mala Rajyalakshmi Shah during the public meeting held at Bannu Ground.
