Patna: Softball Premier League will be held in last week of April at Patliputra Sports Complex here under the aegis of Softball Association of Bihar, said association president Gautam Kanodia after the SGM of the association at a press conference on Sunday.
Giving detailed information related to the league, the association’s joint secretary Rupak Kumar said that the six men’s teams playing in the league will be named after districts of Bihar, while the women’s teams will be named after the brave women of Bihar.
A committee has been formed for the successful organisation of the league. Vipin Kumar has been made the chairman, Ravi Rai organising secretary, Mohit Srivastava convener and Asutosh Kumar has been named as joint convener.
The chairperson of the women’s disciplinary committee will be Shikha Sonia, Shweta Kumari will be the convener while Zinat Praveen and Sakshi Gupta will be the members.
Men’s disciplinary committee: Sanjay Kumar (chairman), Rupak Kumar (convener) and Mohammad Saifullah (member).
Rupak Kumar further said that March 31 will be the last date for registration to participate in the league. For this, a proposal has been sent to 28 districts of Bihar.
Association’s chief patron Ajay Narayan Sharma, patron Jagannath Singh, vice president Sanjay Kumar, Pranav Kumar Pandey, SN Raju, chairperson Meenu Singh, treasurer Pawan Kumar, assistant secretary Vipin Kumar were present at the meeting.
