Patna Crowned Pataliputra Zone Champions with Third Straight Win Over Arwal

June 5, Sonepur: Riding on stellar performances by Anmol Kumar (108* off 121 balls, 12 fours, 1 six) and Neeraj Kumar (62 off 58 balls, 7 fours), Patna clinched their third consecutive victory in the Pataliputra Zone of the Shyamal Sinha Inter District Under-16 Cricket Tournament, securing the zone championship.

In the decisive match at the local railway stadium, Patna triumphed over Arwal by 25 runs. Piyush Kumar Vishal was the standout for Arwal, scoring 65 runs in a valiant effort.

Patna’s bowlers contributed significantly to the win, with Divyanshu taking 3 wickets, while Priyanshu Kumar Pratik and Piyush Kumar claimed 2 wickets each.

Winning the toss, Patna chose to bat first. Anmol Kumar and Rohit started the innings, adding 37 runs before Rohit was run out while attempting a single. Ayan Ritesh Sinha then joined Anmol, forming a solid partnership that took Patna forward. Ayan was eventually dismissed by Mohammad Kaif, caught by Utsav Kumar for 24 runs (34 balls, 2 fours, 1 six).
