Patna: Patna took a 12-run first innings lead with five wickets still in hand in their first innings against Rest of Central Zone on the second day of the BCA Super League semi-final at the Moinul Haq Stadium here on Sunday. Patna scored 275 for five at the end of the day’s play.
The rest of Central Zone posted a score of 263 in their first innings after starting the day on 249 for 8. For Patna, Rahul got 4 wickets, Suraj Kashyap got 3 wickets, Vivek got 2 wickets, and Shashim got one wicket.
In Patna’s innings, Shlok slammed an unbeaten century (114 runs). Ashish and Piyush scored 41 runs each. Akash Raj scored 15 runs, Animesh scored 23 runs, Shasheem got out after scoring 21 runs, and Yashshwi Shukla remained unbeaten after scoring 19 runs.
For Rest of Central Zone, Suman took 2 wickets, and Thakur, Dileshwar, and Alok took one wicket each.
In Purnia, Rest of Shahabad scored 241 runs in the first innings, and on the basis of the first innings, Rest of Shahabad took a 21-run lead over Begusarai in the second semi-final.
For Rest of Shahabad, Hridayanand scored 79 runs, Nikhil scored 62 runs, Ankit Raj contributed 32 runs for his team. Atul Prakash got 5 wickets, Imtiaz got 4 wickets for Begusarai. At the end of today’s game, Begusarai DCA had scored 73 for 4 wickets in the second innings. Imtiaz got injured after scoring 32 runs. Bharat Kumar scored 19 runs. Sagar Tiwari, Rahul Kumar and Ankit Singh bagged one wicket each.
