Patna: Oxford Super Kings and JIS Jaabanj entered the Super Six of Casa Picolla School Cricket League Season-5 being played under the aegis of Turning Point. Apart from these two, teams of Manav Rachna Lions, GNIOT Blaster, Baddi Fighters and VGU Thunderbolt alreday reached the Super Six. Organising Secretary Naveen Kumar said that the Super Six matches will be played from April 6.
In the matches held on Saturday at the local Krishna Cricket Ground, Oxford Super Kings defeated Bihae Knight Riders by 9 wickets while JIS Jaabanj defeated RIT Champions by 126 runs.
In the first match, Biher Knight Riders won the toss and batting first scored 138 runs for nine wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Priyanshu played an innings of 50 runs. In reply, Oxford Super Kings won the match by scoring 144 runs for 1 wicket in 13.3 overs on the basis of good batting by Avinash (84 runs) and Priyanshu Kumar (52). Avinash Kumar (84 runs, two wickets) of the winning team was awarded the Spectra Fly Ash Player of the Match award by senior cricketer Saurabh Chakraborty.
In the second match, RIT Champions won the toss and invited JIS Jaabanj to bat. GIS Jaabanj, batting first, scored 231 runs for 7 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs with the help of Himanshu Raj’s 105 runs. Krish scored 54 runs.
In reply, the RIT Champions scored 105 runs for 6 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs and thus JIS Jabanj won the match by 126 runs. Agastya scored unbeaten 64 runs.
Himanshu Raj (105 runs, 1 wicket) of the winning team was presented the Spectra Fly Ash Player of the Match award by Rouzer Abbas of JIS Group.
