Nomination for Banka and Bhagalpur Lok Sabha Seats Gain Momentum

Bhagalpur: The nomination by candidates for both Banka and Bhagalpur parliamentary seats gained momentum today with only two days left for close of nomination process. Both the parliamentary constituencies going to poll in second phase of polling, the last date of nomination is April 4.

Though nomination process had started since March 28 in both the constituencies however none had filed nomination till yesterday. Independent and candidates of major political parties were among those who filed nomination today.

RJD candidate Jaiprakash Naryan Yadav filed nomination from Banka seat today. Jawahar Jha, an independent was other candidate who filed nomination from Banka seat. Ajay Mandal JD (U) candidate seeking re-election from Bhagalpur constituency also filed nomination today.

The other candidates who filed nomination from Bhagalpur constituency included independent candidates Subodh Mandal and Sikander Tanti beside Deepak Kumar Singh of Rashtriya Jan Sambhavana Party.

At time of filing of nomination by JD(U) candidate Ajay Mandal, prominent political party leaders present here in his support included Samrat Choudhury and Vijay Sinha, both deputy chief ministers in state government and Chirag Paswan, president of LJP (RV).

Later addressing an election meeting at Sandy’s Compound here the leaders counted achievements of Modi government. Those who spoke on the occasion were almost unanimous that for ensuring progress of nation with prestige and dignity, PM Modi needs to be voted to power once again.

The leaders urged people to make slogan of four hundred seats a reality this time. Both Congress and RJD believes in dynastic rule some of the speakers said. They alleged both the parties have been instrumental in promoting corruption.

At Banka the RJD candidate Jaiprakash Narayan Yadav was greeted by large number of party supporters as he came out after filing his nomination papers. Talking with media persons RJD nominee sought blessings of people.
