Biharsharif, June 10: In the last league match of Magadh Zone of BCA Shyamal Sinha Inter District Under-16 Cricket Tournament, Nawada registered a 4 wicket victory over Nalanda. Ishu played a century innings from Nawada’s side.
Nalanda batted first and scored 214 runs in 39.1 overs losing all wickets. In reply, Nawada scored 215 runs in 29.4 overs losing 6 wickets and won the match.
In the match played at the local Nalanda Cricket Ground, Nawada won the toss and invited Nalanda to bat. Nalanda batted first and scored 214 runs in 39.1 overs losing 10 wickets. For Nalanda, Lakshya Prakash scored 90 runs with the help of 2 sixes and 13 fours, Mohammad Aayan Arman scored 39, Neeraj scored 29, Rajguru scored 17 and Krishna Kanhaiya contributed 15 runs.
For Nawada, Raj Pandey took 3 wickets, Mohammad Javed took 2 and Shubham, Divesh and Ishu took one wicket each.
In reply, Nawada achieved the target by losing 6 wickets in 29.4 overs with the help of Ishu Kumar’s 101 runs.
For Nawada, Ishu contributed 101 runs, Prithvi 35 runs, Nimesh 28 runs, Vikram remained unbeaten on 18 runs and Ankit contributed 14 runs.
For Nalanda, Vineet Kumar took 4 wickets, Ankit and Neeraj took one wicket each.
