Patna, July 16: Patna District Sports Officer Om Prakash assumed his charge today. Om Prakash, who was the DSO of Kaimur and Buxar, has been appointed here in place of Sanjay Kumar, who was made the Deputy Director of Art, Culture and Sports Department.
Rupak Kumar, a national cricketer cum-co-organiser of Ranji Trophy for the season 2021-22, met him at his office. During this meeting, he presented a bouquet on behalf of Arun Kumar Singh, former joint secretary of Patna District Cricket Association and congratulated him for joining Patna office.
Rupak hoped that the new Patna DSO will speed up the sports activities in the capital with transparency. Later, Patna DSO discussed about sports activities of Patna with Rupak. Omprakash Kumar, who was made DSO of Kaimur after getting transferred from Vaishali, was also present on this occasion.
