Patna: GNIOT Blaster and Manav Rachna Lions won their respective Super Six matches of Casa Picolla School Cricket League Season-5 at the local Krishna Cricket Ground on Sunday.
GNIOT Blaster defeated Baddi Fighters by 7 wickets while Manav Rachna Lions defeated VGU Thunderbolt by 7 wickets.
In the first match, GNIOT Blaster won the toss and invited Baddi Fighters to bat. Batting first, Baddi Fighters scored 190 runs for 9 wickets in 20 overs. Abhinav Sinha slammed a magnifiecent century (127 runs). Saubhagya Mishra took 5 wickets for GNIOT Blaster’s side.
In reply, GNIOT Blaster won the match by scoring 193 runs for 3 wickets in 18 overs. Vaibhav Raj scored 67 and Saubhagya Mishra scored 61 runs. Satyamev Group Player of the Match award was given to Saubhagya Mishra (61 runs, 5 wickets) of the winning team by GST Commissioner Shashi Shekhar.
In the second match, VGU Thunderbolt won the toss and batting first scored 182 runs for 6 wickets in 20 overs. Sanku Sharma scored 78 and Sarthak Kumar scored 55 runs.
In reply, with the help of Aman Yadav’s 92 runs, Manav Rachna Lions scored 184 runs for 3 wickets in 18.1 overs and won the match. Satyamev Group Player of the Match award was given to Aman Yadav of the winning team by Rajiv Ranjan Bablu, President of Kisan Cell of Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular).
