Patna: Muzaffarpur crushed Gopalganj by 170 runs and entered the semifinals of the BCA Men’s U23 One Day Trophy 2024-25, at the Janaki Stadium in Sitamarhi on Sunday.
Winning the toss and batting first, Muzaffarpur scored 323 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 50 overs. For Muzaffapur Aditya Abhishek Sinha scored an unbeaten 148 runs with the help of 17 fours and 3 sixes in 137 balls. Apart from him, Aman Rama Kumar contributed 47 runs, Bharat Basant Kumar scored 35 runs, captain Ravi Sukhdev Kumar scored 27 and Abhinav Rathendra Alok scored 24 runs.
For Gopalganj, Puneet Mishra bagged 2 wickets, while Sujay Kumar Sharma, Mehdi Abdullah and captain Prashant Kumar got one wicket each.
In reply, chasing the target, Gopalganj were all out for 153 runs in 34.2 overs. For Gopalganj, captain Prashant Kumar played scored 76 runs, but he did not get enough support from other batsmen. Ashish Soni scored 13, Praveen Kumar scored 19 and Mehdi Abdullah scored 9 runs.
for Muzaffarpur, Vasudev Prasad Singh took 3 wickets for 31 runs in 8 overs with 1 maiden. Apart from him, captain Ravi Sukhdev Kumar, Rahul Kaushal Kishore and Shubham Jitendra Mall took two wickets each and Guddu Dilip Kumar took one wicket.
