Maithili Mrinalini Becomes First Woman President of PUSU

Patna: Maithili Mrinalini of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) won the post of president in the Patna University Students Union (PUSU) elections. This is for the first time a woman candidate has won the post of president in the Patna University Students Union elections. She defeated NSUI’s Maoranjan Kumar Raja. Maithili Mrinalini has created history.

The results of the student union elections held in Patna University have been declared. The results were declared late last night. Maithili Mrinalini got a total of 3524 votes. Dheeraj Kumar has won the post of vice president, while Saloni Raj has won the post of general secretary. This is the same Saloni Raj, whose video went viral a few days ago. In which she challenged her opponents and said that this time a girl will win the student union elections and will rule over the boys. Similarly, Rohan Kumar won the post of joint secretary and Saumya Srivastava won the post of treasurer.

Priyanka Kumari from Chhatra RJD, Hrithik Roshan from Disha, Kishu Kumar from AISA, and Lakshmi Kumari from AIDSO lost the elections for the post of president. Apart from this, some other independent candidates had also filed their nomination papers.
