Patna: Lalan Babu School Cricket League Under-13 Cricket Tournament will be organised in the last week of February under the aegis of the Lalan Babu Foundation, Pinjari.
This information was given by Raj Shekhar, founder of Lalan Babu Foundation and joint convenor of BJP Sports Cell. He said that Turning Point director Vijay Sharma will be the organising chairman.
He said that 8 teams will play in this league. There will be open trials of players to form teams. He said that coloured dresses will be provided to all the teams playing in this league organised on the lines of IPL. The matches will be organised on league basis. Selection trials for formation of teams will be organized at five centers in Patna. The venue and date of the selection trial will be announced soon.
Organising chairman Vijay Sharma said that Man of the Match award will be given every day. Apart from this, the winning and runner-up teams members will be given personal prizes along with glittering trophies. Also this time some special prizes will also be given. Awards will be given for Best Bowler, Best Batsman and Man of the League, Best Wicketkeeper, Best Fielder and Emerging Player. Besides, it is also being considered to give tickets to the winning team to watch the IPL match. He said that the matches will be officiated by panel umpires.
