Patna: My selection in the Indian team for the T20 series against Afghanistan is a very happy occasion for me. Coming to Bihar proved lucky for me, said Mumbai all-rounder Shivam Dubey.

Shivam Dubey was interacting with media after the victory over Bihar in the elite group of Ranji Trophy on Monday. It may be mentioned here that Indian team has been announced for the upcoming series against Afghanistan. Shivam Dubey has got a place in this series played under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma. Shivam Dubey was currently playing for Mumbai team in the ongoing Ranji Trophy match at Moinul Haq Stadium in Patna

On the victory over Bihar by an innings and 51 runs, Shivam said that our bowlers have registered the victory by playing with excellent strategy. However, there is a lot of potential among the players of Bihar. They played very well.

Talking about it, Suryavanshi, the young cricketer who came into the limelight across the world at the youngest age, has a lot of talent. I have also talked to him. If he plays by understanding the temperament of the game, he will go a long way. Today, everyone’s eyes are on him. There will be a place in the team for whoever plays well.

As far as the ground is concerned, it is a very supportive pitch. The bowlers got a lot of benefits. It can be said from this pitch that only a few people get such an open ground for a Test match. This is truly international-level ground, he said.

During the press conference, Shams Mulani, who took charge of the Mumbai team, said on the victory that the pitch was very supportive for the bowlers and batsmen. If the weather had been open, then this match would have been even more exciting and competitive. During the press conference, Mumbai team’s bowler Mohit Awasthi, who took the most wickets in the match, and team manager Bhushan Patil were also present.
