Bihar Sharif: Nalanda defeated Gaya by three wickets in the BCA Senior Inter District Cricket Tournament hosted by Cricket Association of Nalanda under the banner of Bihar Cricket Association.
After winning the toss, Nalanda captain Veer Pratap Singh decided to bowl first. Batting first, Gaya scored 260 runs losing 10 wickets in 49.1 overs. For Gaya, Mangal Mehrour scored 61 runs, Shivam Kishore scored 37 runs, Priyaranjan scored 36 runs, Syed Saifullah scored 25 runs and Rohit scored 20 runs.
For Nalanda, Mohammad Faizan Akhtar, Rashmikant and Arnav Singh took 2 wickets each. Naman, Aditya, Suman and Manish took one wicket each.
In reply, Nalanda achieved the target by losing 7 wickets with the help of Kundan Kumar Shashi’s unbeaten century of 122 runs.
For Nalanda, Kundan Kumar Shashi scored 122 not out, Kush Kumar scored 52, Arnav Singh scored 27 and Ankit scored 20 runs. For Gaya, Mangal Mehrour and Nikku took two wickets each.
Kundan Kumar Shashi was given man of the match by Ekangarsarai police station officer Akhilesh Jha for his unbeaten century of 122 runs.
