Patna: Gyan Niketan won the boys kabaddi title while Open Minds A Birla School, Danapur won the girls kabaddi title of the Inter School Sports Festival Khellozz 2022 at Patliputra Sports Complex here on Wednesday.
In the final of boys’ kabaddi, Gyan Niketan defeated Foundation Academy, Bihta by 60-29 while in the final of girls’ kabaddi event, Open Minds A Birla School, Danapur defeated Foundation Academy 59-31.
St Michael’s High School and Notre Dame Academy bagged the third place in the boys and girls sections respectively. Foundation Academy had to be satisfied with the runner-up trophies in both the categories.
Apart from this, the matches of volleyball and basketball events began on Wednesday.
Volleyball: St Karen’s Secondary School defeated Mount Litera Bihta 2-0, BD Public School defeated Radiant International School 2-0, St Michael’s High School defeated Gyan Niketan 2-0, Open Minds A Birla School-Danapur defeated Trinity Global 2-0, DAV BSEB defeated Foundation Academy 2-0 and St Karen’s Secondary School defeated St Dominic Savio High School 2-0.
Basketball: St Michael’s High School beat St Karen’s High School 36-10, DAV BSEB beat Dr DY Patil School 20-16, DPS Patna beat Loyola High School 25-15, Litra Valley School beat St Dominic High School 25-5, St Michael’s High School beat Foundation Academy 30-6 and DPS Patna defeated Radiant International School.
Professor Neil Batra Kedia was the chief guest during today’s match. Basketball Association of Bihar secretary Sushil Kumar, basketball convenor Dr Karunesh Kumar and NIS basketball coach Kaushalendra Kumar were the guests of honnour.
