JP Nadda Lays Stress on Right Electoral Preferences for Development

Bhagalpur: Union health minister also BJP president JP Nadda said here today right electoral choice triggers development and wrong choice lead to situation where safety and security of people is difficult. The union minister who was here this evening to inaugurate 200 bed super specialty hospital was speaking at function organized to mark the occasion.

To substantiate his point that it essential to press right button for deciding electoral preferences Nadda said the super specialty could be built as in 2014 Prime Minister Narendra Modi was voted to power by people. Without naming any political party, the union minister obliquely pointed out that it is support of people for PM that has ushered in era of development in state.

Further stressing right button needs to be pressed for development he said “Policies are framed and implemented by us however it is people who are our master. Hence support of people is essential to achieve the developmental goals.”

Referring to the policy changes initiated by PM Modi led central government for addressing health needs of people Nadda said earlier policy thrust was on treatment of people who fell ill while at present apart from treatment of people taken ill, policy thrust is also on prevention of illness.

The comprehensive health policy conceived under visionary leadership of PM Modi compositely aims at addressing health issues of people, he added. Union minister counted the measures taken by present government to fulfill health requirements of people belonging to economically weaker section of society.

In Bihar since 2014 establishment eight new medical colleges have been sanctioned by central government Nadda said adding seats in medical colleges of state at undergraduate level have been also substantially increased. Mentioning about huge allocation for Bihar in recent union budget he said development of state is priority of central government.

In this context he referred to the health infrastructure being created in state with an objective of reducing travelling need of people of state to metropolitan cities for treatment. Regarding super specialty hospital established here minister added with modern facilities the hospital would prove useful in catering to health needs of people of this region as well as adjoining regions.

PM Modi had laid foundation of super specialty hospital here in February 2019. Originally the hospital was planned to be inaugurated in 2021. However, due to different reasons inauguration of the hospital was delayed.

The hospital has neurology, neurosurgery, nephrology, cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, urology and geriatric departments having 20 bed each apart from a 40-bed intensive care unit. There are also eight modern operation theatres in the hospital.

At present outdoor patient departments of neurosurgery, cardiology, nephrology and plastic surgery has started functioning in the hospital. Samrat Choudhry, deputy chief minister and Mangal Pandey, health minster in state government beside health department officials were among those present in inaugural function.
