Jharkhand team for All India Open Karate Championship announced

Ranchi: Jharkhand team for the All India Open Invitational Karate Championship to be organised under the joint aegis of Shukokai Karate Do International Jharkhand and Shukokai Karate Do International India on May 13 and May 14 at Harivansh Tana Bhagat Stadium, Ranchi, has been announced.

Several national players, including Kajal Kujur, who represented India in Malaysia, have been included in the team. Players from different schools and clubs in the state will participate in the championship in their respective age groups.

Renshi Sunil Kispotta, the chief organiser of this championship and the state representative of Shukokai Karate Do International Jharkhand, said a total of 350 players from across the state will participate in the championship.  Advance kumite and kata training has been given to all the players in the training camps.

He said that this is the fifth National Open Karate Competition being hosted by Jharkhand, which is being organised in the sports village of the state. He said about 700 karate players and 50 officials from all over the country are expected to participate in the championship.

National players who find their place in the state team are Kumar Arindam, Kritika Kumari, Pratibha Tigga, Ritik Tigga, Aarti Toppo, Deepshikha Tigga, Alison Rupul Khakha, Aditya Prabhjot Vishnu, Adriya Vishnu, Akshaj Jaiswal, Aarohi Bhumi Kachhap, Aaron Christy Minz, and Ashini Juraid Minz .
