Patna, April 30: In the last league match of Zone A of BCA Senior Men’s Cricket Tournament, Jehanabad defeated Saran by 13 runs. In this pool, Patna team remained on top while Jehanabad team was at second position. Gopalganj wasthird, Siwan was fourth, Vaishali was fifth and Saran finished sixth.
At the Moinul Haq Stadium, Patna, Jehanabad won the toss and batting first scored 213 runs after losing all the wickets in 37.5 overs. Krish Sahni scored 35, Vineet Rawat scored 47, Jatin Kumar Yadav scored 54 runs.
For Saran, Prashant Singh took 5 wickets and Prince took 2 wickets.
In reply, Saran were all out for 200 runs in 42.2 overs despite good batting by Veer Abhimanyu (67 runs) and Prashant Singh (44 runs). For Jehanabad, Suraj Rathore took 4 wickets for 23 runs and Gautam Bhagwat took 2 wickets.
