Patna: Hosts Loyola High School won the boys and girls titles of the Inter School Kho-Kho tournament held at the local Loyola High School ground here on Saturday. Mayfield Global School became the runners-up.
Apart from these two, teams from ST Raza International School, Patliputra Vidyapeeth participated in this tournament. The tournament was inaugurated by Principal Brother Sudhakar Reddy. Principals, coaches and teachers of the participating schools were present on the occasion. Encouraging the participants, the principal of the Loyola High School said that players should adopt the spirit of sports in their lives.
All the winners were jointly awarded by Neeraj Kumar Pappu, Secretary, Kho-Kho Association of Bihar and Loyola High School Principal Brother Sudhakar Reddy.
In his speech, Neeraj Kumar Pappu thanked the principal of the school and said that the initiative taken by you to popularise the kho-kho is commendable. He said that kho-kho is making rapid progress in the state. Now the players of Bihar have started making place in the national team from Kho-Kho league. He said that several measurers have also been taken by the Kho-Kho Association of India for the development of Kho-Kho in Bihar and the national body is ready to extend all help to bring forward the talents.
