Patna: Hyderabad dominated Bihar in their opening match of the Women’s Under-15 One Day Trophy, cruising to a nine-wicket victory at the KSCA Navule Stadium in Shimoga, Karnataka. Bihar, who won the toss and chose to bat, were bowled out for 88 runs in 34.3 overs. Hyderabad chased the target comfortably, reaching 90 for one in just 10.3 overs.
Bihar’s batting effort was led by captain Pratibha Sahni, who scored 21 runs, while Priya Raj and Anushka contributed 12 and 10 runs, respectively. However, six Bihar players were run out, exposing poor communication on the field. Hyderabad’s bowlers kept the pressure on, with Sanjana, Ashrita, Shaik Aisha, and Vemula Jenishka picking up one wicket each.
Hyderabad’s response was swift and assured. Vemula Jenishka remained unbeaten on 34, while Arshitha scored 28 not out. Bihar managed just one breakthrough, with Vaishnavi Singh dismissing Geetika Priyadarshini for six.
Bihar will aim to regroup and improve their performance in their next match against Nagaland on 23rd November.
