Haryana won the girls’ title in the 32nd Sub-Junior National Kabaddi Championship defeating Tamil Nadu 43-27 in the final at MGM Higher Secondary School in Bokaro City of Jharkhand on Friday evening.
In the girls’ category, Delhi and UP came third. In the boys’ category, Haryana emerged runners-up after losing to Bihar in the final. Maharashtra and Uttarakhand were join third.
Hosted by Kabaddi Association of Jharkhand and Bokaro Kabaddi Association, international kabaddi player Deepak Niwas Hooda was the centre of attraction of this kabaddi championship. After the end of the match, chief guest Prashant Singh, ADG Ranchi, gave away the prizes. Sub-Divisional Officer Chas Dilip Pratap Singh Shekhawat, Commandant JAP-4 Bokaro Ashwini Kumar Sinha, Pro Kabaddi star player cum Indian Kabaddi team captain Arjuna Awardee Deepak Niwas Hooda and other dignitarKabaddies were present on the occasion.
