Patna: Gouri Shankar, physical education teacher of Mahant Hanuman Sharan Higher Secondary School, Mainpura, Patna and recipient of Himalaya Wood Badge, has been nominated as secretary of Bharat Scouts and Guides, Patna town.

The meeting of the executive committee of Bharat Scouts and Guides, Patna town was held at TK Ghosh Academy here under the chairmanship of district chief commissioner Dr Nishant Chandra. Giving this information, district organization commissioner of Bharat Scouts and Guides Patna town Suresh Kumar said that the activities of Bharat Scouts and Guides teams in Patna would be intensified from the first week of October. The work of registration of scouts and guide teams in schools will be started soon, he added.

Gouri Shankar, the newly appointed secretary of Bharat Scouts and Guides, Patna said that very soon training camps for scouts and guides will be started in schools. Students of the schools get maximum benefits, for which interesting and beneficial training will be given to the scouts and guides of the school. For the all-round development of the students, it is very important to participate in the activities of Bharat Scouts and Guides in the schools.

Dr Meena Kumari, Dr Arun Dayal, Dr Manoj Kumar, Prabhash Kumar, Umesh Singh, Ranjan Gupta, Deepak Kumar, Buddhadev Ghosh, Anupam Alok were also present in the meeting.
