Patna: GNIOT Blaster and JIS Jabanj won the matches played on Thursday under the Casa Picolla School Cricket League Season-4, being played under the auspices of Turning Point. GNIOT Blasters defeated Sanskriti Dabang by 5 wickets while JIS Jabanj defeated Rungta Warriors by 6 wickets. JNIOT’s Pranav Kumar (37 runs, 2 wickets) while JIS Jabanj’s Ayush Raj (59 runs, 1 wicket) were awarded HPCA Player of the Match.
Sanskriti Dabang won the toss and decided to bat first. Batting first, Sanskriti Dabang scored 138 runs for 8 wickets in 20 overs. Aman Kumar played an inning of 67 runs.
In reply, JNIOT Blaster team won the match by scoring 139 runs for five wickets in 17.3 overs. Pranav Kumar scored 37 runs, Vaibhav Raj scored 29 runs. HPCA Player of the Match award was jointly presented to Pranav by senior cricketer Saurabh Chakraborty and Nishant Singh of GNOIT.
In the second match, Rungta Warriors won the toss and batting first scored 193 runs for nine wickets in 20 overs. Sanskar Prabhakar played an inning of 65 runs. Ayon Ghosh took four wickets for 17 runs.
In reply, JIS Jabanj won the match by scoring 195 runs for four wickets in 18.5 overs. Ayush Raj scored 59 and Alok Kumar scored 43 runs. Ayush Raj of the winning team was given the HPCA Player of the Match award jointly by Armaan Abbas and Zozan Abbas.
League coordinator Naveen Kumar said that the quarterfinal matches will be played from Friday, April 5.
