GNIOT and JIS enter semi-finals of Casa Picolla School Cricket League

Patna: GNIOT Blaster and JIS Jabanj entered the semi-finals of Casa Picolla School Cricket League Season-4 on Saturday.

In the third quarterfinal of this league being played at the local Sri Krishna Stadium, Khemnichak under the aegis of Turning Point, JNIOT Blaster defeated BBIT Thunderbolt by 97 runs while JIS Jabanj defeated Oxford Super Kings by 97 runs.

The semi-final match will be played on Sunday, April 7 where Rungta Warriors will face JIS Jabanj and Baddi Fighters will face JNIOT Blaster.

In the third quarterfinal, JNIOT Blaster won the toss and batting first scored 182 runs for nine wickets in 20 overs. Vaibhav Raj played an inning of 55 runs. In reply, BBIOT Thunderbolt were all out for 85 runs in 16.4 overs. HPCA Player of the Match award was given to Radheshyam of the winning team by Director of VTech Computer Education, Raunit Narayan and Rekha Kumari.

In the fourth quarterfinal, JIS Jabanj won the toss and batting first scored 193 runs for five wickets in 20 overs. Ayon Ghosh played the captaincy innings and scored 79 runs. In reply, Oxford Super Kings team could only score 96 runs for 9 wickets in 20 overs. Ayon Ghosh of the winning team was presented the HPCA Player of the Match award by of Sanjeev Kumar and Roujan Abbas (JIS Group).
