Patna: Second seed Garv Sharda of Purnia beat Vishal Sagar of Munger to enter the pre quarterfinals of the Men’s U-19 section of Li Ning Bihar State Junior Ranking (U-17/19) Badminton Tournament at Delhi Public School courts in Gaya on Thursday.
Aditya Kumar Choudhary of Samastipur also moved into the pre-quarterfinals of the same section defeating Saurav Mishra of Madhubani 21-9 21-9.
Earlier, the tournament was inaugurated by Bihar Badminton Association president Abdul Bari Siddiqui in a coulourful function. Bihar Badminton Association secretary KN Jaiswal and Gaya District Badminton Association office-bearers and other distinguished guests were present on the occasion. The tournament is being organised by Gaya District Badminton Association under the aegis of Bihar Badminton Association.
