Ranchi: The first Bhagwan Birsa Munda Ranchi District Taekwondo Championship 2023 began at Ranchi Press Club under the aegis of Ranchi District Taekwondo Association and the Ranchi Press Club Taekwondo Centre. The championship was inaugurated by Mithlesh Kumar Singh, vice president of Jharkhand Taekwondo Association. Dharmendra Kumar of Kendriya Vidyalaya was mainly present as a special guest.
Sarla Birla Public School, Sharda Global School, Oxford School, Delhi Public School, Kairali Public School, DAV Bariatu, Kaizen Taekwondo Academy, Press Club Training Centre, Bero Taekwondo Club, Dhurwa No. 1 Taekwondo Club and Bariatu Taekwondo Club are participating in the championship. About 185 players participated in different categories.
In the opening ceremony, the players of The Press Club Taekwondo Training Centre displayed skills of the game. Karamchand Bhagat, Neha Singh, Imtiaz Hussain, Anuj Oraon, Sakhi Bangar, Priyal Kumari, Ankita Kumari, Shahrukh Nawaz, Pooja Kumari, Ishu Prasad, Raj Aryan, Rahul Singh, Mithlesh Kumar and Aman Pandey were of judges and the championship. Anant Nag Chandan, Abinas Ram, Chandan Kumar, Tara Kant Patel, Vijay Shankar Tiwari, Devashish Bhagat, Shashi Gop, Vivek Dubey, Ashok Kumar Das played the key roles for smooth conduct of the event.
