Patna: After the completion of four rounds in the Diamant Cup FIDE Rating Chess Tournament held at Hotel Diamant Inn on Gola Road, Patna, five players are jointly leading with a perfect score of four points each.
In the fourth round, 13 players who were tied on three points competed fiercely. However, only five managed to maintain their lead by securing victories in their respective matches, while the remaining matches, including those on the top three boards, ended in draws.
The leaders advancing with four points are Vicky Vishal and Saurabh Roop of Patna, Ram Charan of East Champaran, and Dhiman Mitra and Ranjit Maiti of Bengal. Key results from the round include:
