Delhi boys emerge champions

Patna: With Delhi winning the championship title in the final match between Haryana and Delhi at Urja Stadium, Patna, the 67th National School  Games U-17 Cricket Championship 2023-24 has ended. Punjab stood third and Tamil Nadu stood fourth.

Giving this information, Director General cum Chief Executive Officer of Bihar State Sports Authority, Raveendran Sankaran said that a total of 33 teams including all the states, union territories and 08 educational institutions of India were participating in this competition. More than 700 players were participating. The competition was organized simultaneously from January 16 to January 23, 2024 at Patna’s Urja Stadium, Jagjivan Stadium, Railway Stadium Sonpur, NIOC Ground Fatuha and Kamaliya Stadium Patna City.

This competition was organized for the first time in Bihar, which is a matter of great joy and pride for Bihar.

Vinay Kumar Gill, Supervisor, School Games Federation of India, distributed medals and trophies to the winning teams and players. The coaches and players of the teams coming from outside praised this event held in Bihar. Shri Gill said that Bihar has set an example for other states by organizing it successfully in an excellent manner.
