Patna: Bengal vs Bihar match of the CK Nayudu U-23 tournament being played at the Bengal Cricket Academy Stadium (Kalyani) ended in a draw. Chasing 352 to win, Bihar were 218 runs for seven in their second innings until the end of the fourth and final day’s play.
In this match, Bihar won the toss and invited Bengal to bat first. Bengal scored 261 runs in the first innings while Bihar were restricted to 180 runs and Bengal got a lead of 81 runs in the first innings. Bengal declared their second innings at 270 runs for nine wickets and with the lead of the first innings, Bengal set a target of 352 runs for Bihar.
Chasing the target of 352 runs, Bihar scored 218 runs losing seven wickets in its second innings. For Bihar, Vaibhav Suryavanshi scored 66 runs and Md Alam played a brilliant innings of 71 runs, while lower order batsman Suraj Kashyap scored 27 runs and Aditya Anand scored 21 runs. Bihar will play their next match against Vidarbha from February 4.
