Patna: Bihar girls lost to Chhattisgarh by 6 wickets in their first match of Women’s Under-19 T20 cricket tournament organised by BCCI at ICL Gurunanak College Ground in Chennai on Saturday.
In this Group D match Bihar won the toss and batting first scored 97 runs in 20 overs for the loss of 7 wickets.
For Bihar, Vaidhi Yadav scored 17 off 23 balls with the help of two fours, Yashita Singh scored 16 runs off 14 balls with one four, Rupa scored 17 off 27 balls, Kumari Nishtha scored 12 off 24 ball and captain Harshita Bhardwaj made runs 16 runs off 16 balls with the help of two fours.
Apart from this, Arya Seth scored 1, Shruti 1, Komal R Kumari scored 8 not out, Anshika Raj scored 5 runs. 6 runs were added as extra.
For Chhattisgarh, Anjali Thakur took 4 for 22 runs in 4 overs, Sakshi Shukla 1 for 20 and Kriti Gupta took 1 for 10 runs.
In reply, Chhattisgarh scored 98 for four in 18.4 overs with the help of 59 runs from captain Kriti Gupta. Apart from this, Aishwarya Singh scored 1, Mansi Maurya 6, Kumud Sahu 12, Sejal Verma 2 and Mansi Upadhyay scored 8 not out. 10 runs were added to the total with the help of extras.
For Bihar, Komal R Kumari took 1 for 13, Arya Seth took 1 for 9 and Kumari Nishtha took 1 for 15.
