Bodh Gaya to Host 11th National Beach Kabaddi Championship from August 11

Patna, July 12: The 11th National Beach Kabaddi Championship (Men and Women) will be held in Bodh Gaya from August 9 to August 11. The event is organized by the Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India and hosted by the Bihar State Kabaddi Association.

According to Apoorva Sukant, President of the Bihar State Kabaddi Association, this is the second time Bodh Gaya is hosting the championship, the first being in 2007. The tournament will feature 28 teams in both the men’s and women’s categories. The event will attract many international and national players, including Arjun and Dronacharya Awardees.

Kumar Vijay Singh, Chairman of the Bihar State Kabaddi Association, stated that preparations for the event are already underway, supervised by Tejaswi Singh, President of the Gaya District Kabaddi Association. There will be excellent arrangements for the stay and meals of the players. The matches will take place on the banks of the Falgu River.

Tejaswi Singh mentioned that players and guests arriving at Gaya Railway Station and Gaya Airport will receive a grand welcome. They will be introduced to the cultural heritage of Bihar with tours of Gaya, Bodh Gaya, and Rajgir. Additionally, traditional Bihari dishes will be served during the event.
