Patna: Anisabad Cricket Club emerged victorious in the Indradev Rai Memorial Cricket Tournament, organised under the aegis of Kumar Club at the Sanjay Gandhi Stadium, Patna. In the thrilling final, Anisabad Cricket Club defeated NMCC by 16 runs to secure the title.
After winning the toss, Anisabad Cricket Club opted to bat first and managed to score 132 runs, losing all their wickets in 17.2 overs. Hariom Sharma stood out with a commendable innings of 43 runs.
In response, NMCC was bowled out for 116 runs in 16.4 overs. Deepu Sharma top-scored for NMCC with 29 runs. Akash Kumar of Anisabad Cricket Club delivered an exceptional performance, scoring 5 runs and taking 4 wickets, earning him the Player of the Match award.
The award ceremony was graced by notable dignitaries, including former Bihar Government Industry Minister Samir Kumar Mahaseth and former Patna Mayor Shyam Babu Rai, along with Madhurendra Kumar Singh, Naveen Kumar Jamuar, Prem Ballabh Sahay, Manoj Kumar, Anjani Kumar Sinha, and Ranjit Bhattacharya. Ram Ishwar Prasad, alias Sadhu Gop, patron of the organising committee, honoured the players with bouquets, shawls, and mementoes. Organising Secretary Aditya Yogesh expressed his gratitude to all present.
Prominent sports personalities such as Manohar Rai, Anjani Kumar Sinha, Devki Nandan Das, Vivekanand Ojha, Nathun Rai, Arjun Yadav, Daroga Rai, Chandu Ji, Dinesh Kumar Suman, Rajan Yadav, Deepartan Yadav, and others were also felicitated during the event.
