Bihar’s Vaibhav Suryavanshi selected for India U-19 team

Patna: Bihar’s teenage cricket sensation, Vaibhav Suryavanshi, a resident of Samastipur district of Bihar, has been selected for the Indian men’s under-19 cricket team. This has been announced after the conclusion of the Men’s Under-19 One Day Cahllemger Trophy on Thursday.

India Under-19 will play in the Under-19 Quadrangular Cricket Tournament to be held in Visakhapatnam. This tournament will be held from November 14. Two Indian teams, India A and India B, will participate in this tournament. Apart from this, Under-19 teams of England and Bangladesh will participate.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi was playing for India B in the Men’s Under-19 ODI Challenger Trophy. Vaibhav Suryavanshi has also scored a half-century in this tournament. Its final match was held on Thursday in which India B team became the champion. India A team became the runner-up.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi has had a stellar performance in the recently concluded Vinoo Mankad Trophy Under-19 Men’s Cricket Tournament. Vaibhav Suryavanshi has scored a total of 393 runs in five matches. Has scored one century and three half-centuries. Vaibhav’s individual highest score was 139 runs. In this tournament, Bihar team won 2 out of five matches and lost three matches. On the basis of his better performance in this tournament, he was also selected for the Bihar Under-23 Men’s team.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi practices at Gen Nex Cricket Academy in Patna where he is groomed by the head coach of the academy and former Ranji cricketer of Bihar, Manish Ojha. Manish Ojha says that this is good news not only for our academy but also for the entire state of Bihar and a good sign for the coming days.
