- Grappling Wrestling Committee of Bihar will soon honor Shashikant: Kishlay Kishore
Patna: In the men’s category (62 kg weight) of the 3rd National Senior Grappling Wrestling Championship being played at Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak (Haryana), Shashikant Singh of Bihar won the gold medal in gi-style by defeating Gaurav Dahiya of host Haryana by 4-0 points.
In the men’s category, Shashikant Singh achieved double success by winning the bronze medal in Nogi-style weighing 62 kg. Chairman of Grappling Wrestling Committee of Bihar, Kishlay Kishore, congratulated Shashikant Singh (East Champaran) on receiving double medal and said that he will be honored by the Grappling Wrestling Committee of Bihar very soon.
General Secretary of Grappling Wrestling Committee of Bihar Gouri Shankar, coach Deepak Singh Kashyap, Patna District Secretary-cum-National Technical official Satish Kumar, Treasurer Ravi Ranjan Kumar, District President of East Champaran District Grappling Wrestling Committee Vinod Kumar Jaiswal, West Champaran District Committee Secretary Vikas Kumar also congratulated Shashikant. It may be noted that Shashikant Singh also won the gold medal in the first Senior National Grappling Wrestling Championship held in New Delhi in 2021.
