Bihar’s Prahlad Kumar to represent India in Asian Track Cycling Championship

Patna: Prahlad Kumar, who hails from Bihar’s Gaya district, has been selected to represent the country in the Asian Track Cycling Championship to be held in Thailand, from June 9 to June 13.

Giving this information, Director General of Bihar State Sports Authority Raveendran Sankaran said that the selection of Prahlad Kumar for the Asian Track Cycling Championship is a matter of great pleasure and pride for Bihar. Prahlad Kumar is the first cyclist from Bihar to be selected for this championship. Presently, Prahlad Kumar is training at NCOE Patiala, where, on the basis of his talent and performance, he has been selected to represent the country. This will prove to be very encouraging for other players in Bihar as well, he said.

Expressing happiness over the success of Prahlad Kumar, Bihar’s Art, Culture, and Youth Department Minister Jitendra Kumar Rai, Secretary Bandana Preyashi, Director General of Bihar State Sports Authority Raveendran Sankaran, and Director Pankaj Raj congratulated Prahlad Kumar and gave best wishes for a bright future.
