Bihar’s Monika selected in Indian team for Asian Kho Kho

Patna: Bihar’s Monika has been selected in the Indian women’s team for the 4th Asian Kho Kho Championship to be held in Guwahati from March 20 to 23. Neeraj Kumar Pappu, secretary of Kho Kho Association of Bihar, said on the basis of information received from Sumit Bhatia, national coach of Kho Kho Federation of India, that this is the first time that a woman player from Bihar has been selected in the Indian team.

Monika, daughter of Vinod Shah and Juda Devi of Dimaha Gopalpur, Naugachhia, Bhagalpur, is training at the national camp in Guwahati for the Asian Kho Kho Championship. This cap will run till March 18 and then the Asian Championship will start from March 20.

All the people associated with Kho Kho Association of Bihar have congratulated Monika on her selection in the Indian team. Neeraj Kumar Pappu has expressed his gratitude to Kho Kho Federation of India president Sudhanshu Mittal and general secretary MS Tyagi for this selection.
