Patna: Bihar’s senior women cricketer Anshu Apoorva has been selected in the East Zone Senior Women’s Cricket team for the Inter-Zone T20 Cricket Tournament organised by the BCCI. Another Bihar women cricket Apoorva Kumari of Bihar found her place in the standby.
The squad for the East Zone Senior Women’s Cricket Team has been announced today. This information is given by the Bihar Cricket Association on the basis of a letter sent by the East Zone Selection Committee. The selected team will play in the Senior Women’s Inter-Zone T20 Trophy 2022-23 to be held in Lucknow from November 8 to 16.
On the selection of these two players, Bihar Cricket Association president Rakesh Kumar Tiwari, vice president Dilip Singh, Secretary Amit Kumar, joint secretary Priya Kumari, treasurer Ashutosh Nandan Singh, district associations representative Om Prakash Jaiswal and many senior cricketers congratulated them.
Apoorva, who played cricket with street boys in childhood, has captained the Bihar Under-19 women’s cricket team. Apoorva of Purnia has been the captain of the team participating in the BCCI Domestic Women’s T20 Tournament Trophy 2022-23. Anshu Apoorva was the vice-captain of the team. Not only this, Apoorva had made a great contribution in making Bihar the champion in the 2017 Women’s Under 19 Cricket Championship (North-East Zone)
