Patna: The third batch of Bihar contingent left the state capital on Tuesday to participate in the 36th National Games being held in Gujarat. In the third batch, teams of weightlifting, wrestling, rowing, fencing and archery left. These five teams will go to Ahmedabad. This information was given by Mohammad Mushtaq Ahmed, general secretary, Bihar Olympic Association.
He said that the teams were given warm send off by Bihar Olympic Association president Abdul Bari Siddiqui, director general of Bihar State Sports Authority, Raveenndran Sankaran, director cum secretary Pankaj Raj, senior vice president of Bihar Olympic Association Ramashish Prasad Singh. Bihar Athletic Association secretary Liaquat Ali and Bihar Wrestling Association secretary Vinay Kumar Singh wished the success for the teams.
Teams: Weightlifting: Sagar Kumar, Coach-cum-manager – Mukesh Kumar
Wrestling: Rajiv Yadav, Mulayam Kharwar, Rahul Kumar, Shubham Kumar, Karan, Chandan Pandey. Coaches- Vijay Kumar and Satish Kumar Singh.
Rowing: Deepanshu Kumar Singh. Coach cum Manager – Mohammad Sarfaraz Alam.
Fencing: Harsh Raj, Akash Kumar, Tusar Kumar, Ashish Kumar. Coach- Shravan Kumar Gupta. Manager – Shruti Kumari.
Archery: Sapna Kumari, Pooja Kumari Rai, Pooja Kumari, Poonam Singh, Ankit Roshan, Avinash Kumar Ojha. Coaches- Chandan Kumar Singh, Neeraj Kumar Singh. Manager- Anjali Kumari.
