Patna: Bihar’s girls taekwondo team bagged the third position in the 6th National Cadet Taekwondo Championship. Assam stood first with 62 points and Maharashtra girls got second spot with 43 points. This information was given by Samta Rahi, joint secretary of Bihar Taekwondo Association.
He said that in the championship organised by Uttar Pradesh Taekwondo Association at KD Singh Babu Stadium, under the aegis of Taekwondo Federation of India, Bihar’s girls team won one gold, one silver and two bronze while in the boys’ team won three bronze medals.
For Bihar, Saumya Sinha won gold medal in under 76 kg weight category while Gianna Patel won silver in under 60 kg weight category. Priyanshi won a bronze medal in under 68 kg weight category and Aradhana won bronze medal in under 42 kg weight category.
