Shiv Shankar Kumar of Purnia emerges as the Bihar topper

Patna: The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) announced the results of the annual secondary examination, also known as the matriculation examination, today. A total of 16.64252 lakh students appeared in the examination.
BSEB chairman Anand Kishor announced the results. Students can check the results of the Matriculation Annual Examination, 2024, on the websites of the BSEB: https://bsebmatric.org and http://results.biharboardonline.com. 51 students shared the top 10 in the entire state.
There are 10 students in the first 5 positions, and 41 students are in the ranks 6 to 10. Shiv Shankar Kumar of Purnia has secured first position in the entire state in the by securing a total of 489 marks out of 500 (97.80%). Adarsh Kumar of Samastipur is in second place. There are three students in third place.
16,64,252 students appeared in the annual secondary examination, 2024, of whom 8,58,785 were girls and 8,05,467 were boys. In this examination, girls outnumbered boys, which is indicative of the success of various schemes implemented by the state government to promote girls’ education.
In the 2024 Annual Secondary Examination, 4,52,302 students (Boys – 2,52,846 and Girls – 1,99,456) achieved first division, 5,24,965 students (Boys – 2,52,121 and Girls – 2,72,844) got second division, and 3,80,732 students (boys – 1,66,093 and girls – 2,14,639) got third division. 21,843 students are in the pass category in this examination. Thus, a total of 13,79,842 students (boys – 6,80,293 and girls – 6,99,549) have passed the examination. The total percentage of students who passed the examination is 82.91%.
It is noteworthy that the Annual Secondary Examination, 2024 was conducted at 1,585 examination centres in the state between February 15, 2024 and February 23, 2024.
